Paper Flowers

February 9, 2016

Paper-Flowers-2These paper flowers created by artist Kate Alarcón are just amazing. I couldn’t believe they are made of paper when I first came across her instagram account (cobralilyshop). Looking at flowers always makes me happy. They instantly put me in a good mood. However, it’s not always possible to get fresh flowers all year around. Specially peonies, ranunculus, poppies are not readily available in supermarkets everywhere. Unless you know florists or flower decorators and even they have to order them outside sometimes. And the prices are way too high if the flowers are seasonal.
But these paper flowers just look so real that I wouldn’t mind having a bunch in all the varieties available. As bloggers we are always looking for fresh flowers for styling purposes and photography. This just solves the problem and you can have them in any color too. I would love to learn to make these and right now kate’s work is inspiring to me to try them out. The detailing is just unbelievable.

Instagram Crush – Jonna Jinton

January 31, 2016

Just randomly stumbled across this instagram account over the weekend and I instantly fell in LOVE. So I visited the website and trust me, it was like a breath of fresh air. Some of the pictures actually made me gasp! Meet Jonna Jinton, a Swedish photographer, artist and blogger. I was totally inspired by her work and her story. She lives in the woods in a small village north of Sweden. Her blog and pictures were so refreshing that I had to share some of my favorites with you.

Instagram Crush : Jonna Jinton 4Instagram Crush : Jonna Jinton 2I started my blog almost towards the end of 2014 and since then instagram has played a huge part in terms of creative inspiration and connecting with fellow bloggers. I started following a lot of accounts which were similar to what I was doing (diy, recipes, art, lifestyle) and so on. However, these days I’m following a lot of random people. Creative accounts from all genres like pacific northwest photographers, abstract artists, graphic designers, modern art, mainly anything that is inspiring and catches my attention. Like Jonna’s work for example, there’s something that is so original in her thought process.

Instagram Crush : Jonna Jinton 3 Instagram Crush : Jonna Jinton 6 Instagram Crush : Jonna Jinton 7Instagram Crush : Jonna Jinton 1 Instagram Crush : Jonna Jinton 8It’s a nice change to mix up your feed every now and then and break the monotony. I think it very important for a creative person to do that in order to think differently and create something new and original. I have said this before too and I will say it again, that sometimes we keep looking at different versions of the same thing and don’t even realize it. Internet can get pretty saturated specially if you are looking at similar stuff. That’s why I’m making a conscious effort to follow different accounts, see different work, even if it’s not my style. And I would love to see how this would affect my blog posts in the future.

Would love to know some of your favorite accounts too!
Have a wonderful weekend!

October 24, 2014

Wouldn’t you like companies and brands like Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Christian Dior, Gucci, Miu Miu, Chloè and Cartier to commission you to create custom letters , invitations, logotypes, custom signatures and more creative lettering jobs for them ? hell ya ! Well , for many calligraphers it may be a dream job but meet Mr. Nicolas Ouchenir, for whom this is has become a reality.

He’s is one of the most sought after and go-to calligraphers in the industry today who’s shown that calligraphy is not just about craft & hobby but it can be taken to whole another level as a serious profession. Art Inspiration/3 – TANYA YEREMEYEVA

October 20, 2014

Morning everyone! How was your weekend ? mine was extremely busy , photo shoots, housewarming party and prep work to decorate a 6 year old clients room. In-fact the whole last week has been hectic and i haven’t been able to post much , however last week I told you guys I would be dedicating a whole week to CALLIGRAPHY posts and here is the first one.  Today I am sharing the work of a talented artist.. definitely a great inspiration for a monday morning.

About the artist,

Tanya is a freelance motion graphics artist, currently working out of New York City. As a relatively new member of the lettering world, she started promoting her work online by creating one piece of lettering a day and publishing it via social media, and she quickly gained a following. Her work is mainly hand drawn, though some designs are later digitized.

1

Tanya’s love for lettering stemmed from starting a calligraphy course back in her home country, Ukraine, as a way to have a distraction from stresses of social activism. It quickly grew into her outlet for positivity, optimism and motivation that shows through the work.

Checkout Tanya’s Website  for more of her work.

Also, check out more art inspirations and featured artists on the blog HERE!

Hope you guys enjoyed her work !

Happy Monday Everyone.
