Hello there! I have finally put together a roundup of my trip to Alt Summit (Summer 2015) last week. There was so much I wanted to share with you guys that I thought I would break this down in two parts. Today in part 1 I’m talking about all the fun and the parties at AltSummer2015 along with a little bit about my stay in beautiful Salt Lake City. In part 2, I will be sharing a little more about the classes/talks I attended, my learnings, sources, activities and takeaways from the summit. Oh and just a heads up, there are more pictures in this post than usual but I promise they are pretty. If you’ve been following on instagram you may have seen a few. Hope you enjoy the rest!
The conference is held at the beautiful Grand America Hotel however I stayed at the The Little America Hotel right across the street since it was a bit easier on the budget and the location was very convenient too. And it did not disappoint at all. In fact it was more than I expected and it has the cutest cafe facing main street which served one of the best breakfast in town!
On the first day, I had the morning to myself since the registrations din’t begin until 2pm which gave me time to just stroll around the area for a bit. We had our sponsor dinners in the evening. I went to the one hosted by Jordan Ferney of Oh Happy Day! at Melting Pot. It was so much fun, I made so many new friends and the highlight of the party were these flair pins Jordan had made for us ! We started a hashtag on instagram #ohhappyflair to share our pics too.

There were so many things happening at Alt along with the talks and workshops that even if you are attending for the first time, you won’t feel out-of-place at all. Some of them involved jumping on beds (my favorite), sticking stickers on a wall, posing at photo booths with crazy props and more. All the sponsors did a wonderful job with setting up the lounge area which encouraged everyone to participate in the fun together. My favorites were the Squarespace lounge with panels of artwork (made by Jenean Morrison) which you could just color while sipping coffee during breaks and the Woven Pair fluffy bed with their cute socks were just too cute! Everyone was super friendly and all it took was to just say ‘Hey Hi ‘ and that’s it! you just made another friend.
Jenean is such a sweetheart even in person, I loved talking to her and I’m a huge fan of her art work!
There were two parties which took place on 10th and 11th , black & white pre internet theme party and the pink picnic themed garden party. Everyone involved in the prep did such an outstanding job. They had stuff like polaroid cameras and type writers to write notes to your friends. At the garden party they had badminton and bubble troughs! so cool right?

And when it comes to parties we cannot miss the food right? They had the most amazing spreads and beautiful looking food all through the summit.
The photo booths are by Photo Booth Bus and Couth Booth.

On the last day we had some tours arranged for us and I chose to go on a thrifting tour around SLC organized by the beautiful Andrea from legalmisssunshine. We had so much fun thrifting and finding unique gems around the city including a store called BOHEM which I loved and then of course the vintage clothing store called Decades.
I know I have a lot of selfies in there too but I wanted to share my outfits with you all 🙂 That flower swing was my favorite decor vignette from the party!
If you want to see the previous post related to the Alt Summit in which I shared a free printable checklist for your summer travel, go here !
Last but not least, we had two talented photographers, Brook Dennis and Justin Hackworth covering the entire summit and you can check all pics at this Flickr account. Few pics seen in the post above are taken by these photographers and are credited accordingly. Rest of them are from my iphone since I had not carried my camera.
All in all Alt Summit Summer 2015 has truly been an inspiring and exciting experience and I will definitely be going back for the next one. Also cant wait to share part2 with you so stay tuned for that!
Have a great week ahead!
