Okay so I need to give you guys little back story before we talk about today’s delicious looking blog post. Last Sunday me and my husband were driving back from grocery store and we had forgotten to buy ice-cream which was on our list . It was pretty late at night and we stopped by the Walgreens store a block away from our house to buy some. Unfortunately, they were running low on ice-cream stock and dint have any of the flavors that we liked. So I just picked two choco bars and just then I saw this sherbet flavor called ‘Rainbow’ by good & delish . I had never tried this one before and let me tell you I will never be having any other sherbet flavor again ( unless it’s homemade of course ). My husband asked me at the checkout counter ‘what’s the difference between a sherbet & sorbet?’ We’ll come to that answer just in a bit.
The next day , I tried having it with the macarons and that was when I thought I have to share this combo with you all . The macarons were orange and strawberry in flavor and they perfectly complimented with the flavors of the sherbet which were strawberry, orange and lime. The sweetness of the macarons is perfect with the tangy sherbet.
You could crumble the macarons and mix them with the sherbet or you could just scoop it out with the macaroon.
Now for the above question ‘what is the difference between a sorbet & sherbet?’ For those of you who dint know, sorbet is a mix of fruit & sugar without any kind of dairy items and sherbet is a sorbet with a dairy item item like cream, milk, egg whites or gelatin added to it. So sherbets have a creamy texture but are still lighter than ice creams.
Here are a few recipes of citrus/berry sherbets for you :

Sherbets are perfect to try out this summer or even this weekend. Foe those of you who want to try one out before just head over to your nearest walgreens and look for ‘homemade rainbow’ flavor by ‘good & delish. They are fun to make and are not as heavy as ice-creams and a little low on fat too!
Happy weekend y’all!
